CRAZZZY BABY

Haven has reached that age.... The age that everyone has warned me about.

When he was first born, people would come up to me in a restaurant, the grocery store, church, etc and say, "Aww, I remember when my baby was that tiny. Enjoy it while you can, because once he starts walking it's over!"

I didn't believe them. I COULDN'T wait for him to walk to me.

Boy, were they right. I miss my tiny baby. Ok, Haven was never tiny... but you know what I mean.

I can't leave my room...

And I really can't leave him alone in his room to pick up the house...

Oh this makes me want a little baby again.... ALMOST...

Twenty Ten

Christmas was....

Awesome

Fun

Exhausting

Expensive

Too short

Memorable

Cold

And everything in between...

We went to Barry's daughters the Saturday before Christmas. We have this tradition for years now and it always a nice time to catch up, hang out, and pig out! Haven got his first little motorcycle...and a little puppy that sings his favorite song, "Patty Cake."

The night before Christmas Eve, my Aunt Denise had an egg roll party at her house.

SINFUL!

JUST. PLAIN. SINFUL.

My cousin Ryan (her son) and his new wife Nina were in the States visiting from Germany... It was so nice to see them... and finally meet Nina :)

My cousin Sara (Ryan's sister) was there too!

Chris had to work until noon on Christmas Eve so we decided to just stay at our house. I was going to make us a fancy little dinner... but decided having Mexican and margaritas sounded like a better tradition to start :) We had some delicious food, had some grandee margaritas on the rocks, and set out to see some light displays around the area. However, after we left the restaurant, it was pouring.... so we decided to go home and exchange our with each other.

Haven wasn't feeling too well. He had an ear infection about two weeks before and after his medication ran out, it creeped back... So we were up all night nursing our baby back to good spirits.

Christmas morning Santa left out his and Chauncey's presents. Haven wanted Chauncey's stocking full of bones and chew toys.... and Chauncey wanted Haven's gifts! It was really cute. Haven took all of his gifts very seriously, but was more concerned with how he could eat the wrapping paper without me noticing.

We then made our voyage to Effingham. It was raining but we were nice in cozy in the JEEP. Haven was feeling better than he did in the middle of the night. We first stopped at Chris' parents where there was a mountain of gifts awaiting us :) Then we drove to Charleston to Betty and Owens (Chris' dad's parents)for sandwiches and soup. After the hoopla there, we went back to Effingham to the Spruell's (Chris' mom's parents) for an Italian dinner and more gifts.

Needless to say, our three row Jeep couldn't even hold all of our gifts... We are so blessed :)

I had two weeks off of work for the holidays (my job is soooo nice) so I deep cleaned every inch of our house. Chris even helped. After becoming obsessed and intrigued with the show "HOARDERS," he has been tossing out old stuff more often and avoiding clutter. I feel like I'm married to a new man :) A man that likes to clean!... Okay, maybe not LIKE to clean... but you know what I mean :)

For NYE, D'anna came down to babysit Glave. Jen and Butkus also came down to stay. We met up with Ben, Staph, Jake, his friend Matt, Hilary, and Jordan at the Jive and Wail. Its a fun piano bar in Maplewood. Chris got cut off at 9pm... someone was drinking diet coke for an hour without even realizing it... LOL.

Now, it's back to work.... the real world... and a smaller bank account from Christmas... Oh I can't wait until Haven has a list for Santa :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!
