I usually scope the stadium out pretty well, jog with one ear bud in case so I can hear someone come up from behind me, and check the stadium seating to see if anyone is hiding in the bleachers. I'm nuts. I sometimes beleive that at 140-something pounds, that I will be abducted and forced to live in a tent in the woods with gypsies and zoo animals.
So then I usually just sit at home and snack.
Anyway, here is a lovely, lovely photo after my jog last night. Took more than a minute off my time since last week.
If you're trying to get in shape... there is an awesome group on facebook that is doing a weight loss challenge: Mama Laughlin's Fit Camp!

Congrats on shaving time off. That is a wonderful accomplishment. I am sure it feels great!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the link to the challenge. I am going to check it out.
Ha ha! I have a fear of being attacked when I run on a high school track too! Something about the bleachers blocking the view out makes me scared :) Great time though!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job!! Keep up the good work. I run like that too except we dont have a track around here so i just run around my neighborhood
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I ran last night for the first time in 2 weeks and it felt great! Keep it up
ReplyDeleteGood for you Holly!! Wish I had some motivation to exercise.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! Even in sweaty, baggy workout clothes you're lookin' hot (not temperature) mama! You definitely inspiring me!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya I let my mind go "there" to those crazy what-if moments that are just so out there that it seems possible haha! I usually get it when I run (on the bike path mind you) but the section by the river where there isnt street lights, its about .5mile of a section where I swear someone is gonna jump outa the bushes by the river and kidnap me! BUT it does make me run and pick up my pace faster to get past that spot, on the way out and back... yah youre not alone on this one :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I walk around the neighborhood I worry about people kidnapping me and keeping me to 'play' with me. Hoosier style. So I always hold my keys in my fist with one key out to jab anyone who dares cross my path.
ReplyDeleteWe got a treadmill a little over a year ago and I started out really good with walking for 30 minutes daily but then routines changed and I have only walked on it three times this summer.
Last night I walked on it because of something you said on your blog, '...there is always something, kids....' (very loosely translated paraphrase). Anyway, those words were ringing in my head and I was thinking about how good I was feeling that day so I walked and I loved it.
You can come walk on my treadmill if you want. We won't kidnap you.
I found your blog from mama laughlin and I am sure glad I did. You are so funny and inspiring and I would like to think if we lived near each other we would be friends. I too am scared of being kidnapped at the age of 30. I also order cheeseburgers from mcdonalds with no meat! I get funny looks, but its just the way I like it. Keep up the good work!!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny and I am happy to hear you are still rockin the workouts!
ReplyDeleteOMG - I am the SAME way! I'm convinced I'm being followed, someone is standing over my bed watching me sleep, etc. Glad I'm not the only one :) Gr8 job on your run!
