The reason why I decided to post Before pictures was to make myself accountable to actually finish the thirty days. Like I said before, if I had a dollar for every time I've started the 30DS, I could afford
Thirty days ago, I had hit a plateau. It was an up two pounds, down two pounds rodeo all summer. Combining this with some clean eating, finally knocked me into gear.
I do want to mention that I didn't do this every day for 30 days. There were a handful of days that I didn't do it... so to make up from my fat girl excuses, I would do it twice in one day-- once in the morning and once in the evening. This was an effort to do the workout 30 times in 30 days.
Without much more mumbling... I am so glad I actually stuck with it because I finally saw the 130's-- even if it's just barely.
Here is the Before and After comparison.
Before and (After) Measurements:
Right leg: 19.5" (19'')
Left leg: 20" (19")
Waist: 29" (28"')
Hips: 40" (38.5")
Left arm: 12" (11")
Right arm: 12" (11")
4.4 lbs and 6.5 inches!
On a side note... in the Before picture, my forearms look like twigs and my upper arms look like turkey legs from 6 Flags.
Also... the iPad took another hit. On my second to last night, I put down my 5 lb weight on the couch. Haven had the iPad in upright position against the cushion while watching his show. The weight rolled down the couch and tapped the screen-- cracking it.
I'm so happy that money grows on trees. :)
Now... I never want to hear or see this DVD again... So who wants it? I will mail it to you and you can pay it forward to the next friend that's in the weight loss dumps.

ReplyDeleteAlso, I heard on Dr Oz once that if you take a 5 minute cold water only shower you can shred a few pounds after a month or so. You should try that and post the results.
I'm starting to think this DVD is a must do but I really hate working out in front of the tv!

i keep start/stopping the 30DS over and over too. did you do 10 days per level or split it a different way? so were you running or doing your stadium workout THEN coming home and doing the shred?? jeez louise. imma take it back to the 90s with a "you go girl."

Go Holly! I love your courage to put before and after pics up of your weight loss. I have before and afters but putting them up for the world to see is super scary. I just started 30DS yesterday and hopefully combined with running this week will get me over my plateau. Thanks for the motivation - you look great!

ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! I might be on that same plateau as you ... only I eat poorly a lot (like, I just ate a snickers while reading your post). But it's still up 2 lbs down 2 lbs. I am about 140 as well, and I'd love to be a solid 135 (although let's be honest, once I get there I'll want to be 130). Congrats!

ReplyDeleteMy butt has started calorie counting/food logging (everything!), drinking five 16oz glasses of water, and tonight when my mom gets home from work I am going to use her elliptical for 20 mins and hopefully move up my strength to use it longer!
