A Vlog: Lazy Girl Curls

This video is for Darci {heyyyy gurl}.

I'm apologizing that my chitter chatter was all over the place. This was a one-shot, obviously not edited, vlog about how to do the Lazy Girl Curls to your hair... in 7 minutes.

Clearly, I am no Kate... So if you want more hair tutorials/vlogs, go check out the Queen Bee. :)

Also... you should try her lasagna {just be sure to use the no-boil noodles, as directed}

So, without further adieu.... Say hello to 4:30am Holly.

And it's it now 5am... I haven't figured out how to change the front photo to where I don't look like a serial killer. I'll make that my internet lesson #578 tonight.

ALSO... Chris and I celebrate a wedding anniversary this week. I want to do a Newlywed Game Show type-vlog, if I can get him on board. Watch for that. :)

And finally, you may have noticed that I have been blogging/reading/commenting weird hours of the day. This is because for the last month or so, I have not logged into Blogger from work-- I just can't anymore. Now I read my blogs at night after the kids are in bed and get my post up in the morning before they wake up for the day....  Just so that you know why I am commenting at 4 o'clock in the morning like a stage-five clinger. :)

I hope you all have a great Monday!!!

PS- Check out this awesome Butts & Guts vlog by Leigh Ann.... you'll be hurtin'!!

  3. I thought you said "collic" like a baby has.
I never realize how southern I sound saying cow lick and holding it out ha!
    Love you hair way cute!!
    Have a great anniversary (:

  4. Great video! Baby girl and I watched it together and she was smiling the whole time! I never knew there was such a type of curling iron. Crazy! And good to know that as a hair product snob you approve of Garnier Fructis. I just switched to that! I am cheap now :) By the way, I've always loved your hair style!

  5. No blogger at work?! Ahhh, but then I'd have to get actual work done!;)

  6. You are such a cute little button! Your hair looks gorgeous!
I love when you say "volume" it sounds like "valium"... lol. To agree with the comment above, I think I must talk like a mountain hillbilly! Which technically, I guess I am...

    Happy Monday!!

  8. Oh my gosh! 4:30 am Holly is adorable (& hilarious!!)! I do feel obligated to make you aware of your hair's awesome curling potential. Girls like me with stick straight hair would have to hold each curl for 90 second MINIMUM. For real.

2 more things: I would LOVE to take you up on your offer to guest post over on my lil old blog sometime! I'll be emailing you soon. Which leads me to my second thing...I totally need your husband's mad blog design skillz! I'll email you about that, too!

    Happy Monday!!

  11. Pretty sure I would kill people at 4:30 am and here you are all perky and cute. I am so not a hair product snob. $5 suave shampoo and conditioner is what I grab off the shelves. But I'm sure if my mom owned a salon I would use the good stuff to. You're hair looks hot!

  12. They haven't blocked my blogs at work yet, but it will be a sad, sad day when they do. I've barely gotten over the blocking of Pinterest. As it is, I can't watch the video so I'll have to wait until I get home to see 4:30AM Holly.

  13. Happy Anniversary ~~

Also, I was totally thinking about you the other day. I got paid to eat snack cakes for 2 straight hours. I was in heaven. I thought about your love affair for Little Debbie's and was wishing you were there with me eating our weight in snack cakes and other goodies. It was awesome.

  14. I can't wait to see your Newlywed video! Cute idea! And happy anniversary!

I might have to try this technique--my hair seems to take forEVER and it would be nice to just blow it dry as quick as possible and then add the curl back in later. The one nice thing about my current approach is that I get to browse on my phone while I'm holding the hairdryer with one hand. :)

  16. Yikes, 4:30 am....I don't think I'd function that early! Love the hair tutorial - very similar to how I curl mine (when I do), but I'm lazy and usually skip the curler all together.

I feel the same about hair products - I think I'm a hair product snob - my mom was a cosmetologist for 30 years and I always have had really great hair products available for a great price! I would not pay retail on Joico (I use the KPak) or any of it. Right now I am in L-O-V-E with "IT's a 10" leave in keratin spray - smells so good and works!

  17. Haha love the stage 5 clinger comment! I do that to, where I blog/ comment either 1st thing in the morning or late at night. With the exception being today where I am commenting from work like a bad employee....BUSTED ;) Your hair looks amazing for doing at 430 AM. I'm a put my hair up all work week kinda girl because I have a problem with my alarm clock. It tries to wake me up but I just won't let it LOL! So I will have to try this technique! Have a great rest of your Monday!

  18. I totally love videos that are unedited like this one because it seems a little more real and as if we were just sitting in front of you while you did your hair. I can NEVER, NEVER, NEVER get mine to look like that. Maybe it's because my curling iron sucks? How much did yours cost?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh I WISH my hair would cooperate and curl for me. I loooove yours! And I vote Chris jump on board for the vlog to appease all us super crazy blogger moms/wives :)

  20. I love that you did a blog at 4:30am. Thanks!

    Happy anniversary early!

  21. You are so freakin cute! For real, who is that chipper at 4:30 a.m.? I am not that chipper at 7:00 a.m. lol I do lazy girl curls too. Lazy girl curls ascend all hair lengths I think lol :)

  22. Holly! Those aren't LGC's! I guess I didn't realize you actually use a curling iron! Ha! I don't use anything when I do mine...now that's LAZY! Definitely going to do a vlog on how I do mine, but it will be scary since it will be 7:25am (yeah, I can't get my tired ass our of bed until at least 7:00am - I don't know how you function getting up that earl)!

Happy Anniversary!! Any special plans?! If you do the Newlywed Vlog do we get to submit questions?

And come guest post on my blog, yo!
