One thing you must know about me.... I'm not a craft type person. Unless it involves food, I'll just go to the store and buy the crafty wreath and hang it on my door. Now the mom's that have time to make homemade goldfish and fruit rope?
Anyway, here are my only two, tried and true pumpkin creations.
1. Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Ball
This was originally posted here a few years ago. I make this every year-- it's my go to cheese ball recipe.
2. Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats
I made these here for my friend Lindsey's pumpkin-themed baby shower last year. EZ-PZ.
{Just make believe that these images are the same size}
And if you're a someone into craftiness and/or yummy recipes, please check out these ladies:
This is my newest friend, Keyona. She has turned into a running machine and has completed eleven 5k's this year. My favorite part of her blog is her Recipe Box found HERE. I call her the Smoothie Queen and she also turns a lot of normal recipes into "skinny" ones.
This is Laura from Serrano Style. She is a crafting and baking machine. If you are into sewing, quiliting, or photography, please check out her blog. I love all of her quilts, pillows, and craftiness that she posts about. And we all love a good pinner... Check her out on pinterest HERE.
And finally, this is Courtney. Just checking out her blog a few times, you wouldn't know that she was a sewing and crafting machine {pun intended-- I'm hilarious at 4am}. In addition to her healthy living posts, she is also an undercover crafter. You can check out her sewing archives HERE.

Cheers and Tears to Monday!

That pumpkin cheeseball is freaking awesome! Too bad I don't have time to throw a halloween party, it would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat cheese ball is so cool. Looks very tricky though!!
ReplyDeleteBoth of the those recipes look awesome and I want to eat them right now! lol. I wanna make both of them! Maybe the rice krispie treats for preschool?? hmmm :)
ReplyDeleteI think I need to throw a Halloween party now looking at that amazing cheese ball! Its on the diet food list right? HA Looks amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI always get stuck with having to bring apps for Thanksgiving ... why we have appetizers on Thanksgiving beats me .... I mean, we're about to devour a meal that should span over 4 days, but no, we sit there and inhale it in about 2.5 seconds .... Point of this comment, I'm going to make the pumpkin cheese ball for Thanksgiving. Pumpkins ARE thanksgiving-ish.
ReplyDeleteI want to take a bite out of the pumpkin cheese ball. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThat pumpkin cheese ball looks awesome! Very festive!
ReplyDeleteDoh- you found out my secret! I'm an undercover crafter.... If I didn't have to spend so much time working out to burn off recipes like these I would probably craft more... LOL
ReplyDeleteLook at you getting all crafty and shit! I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteAGH! You crafty gal you. I will attempt the crafty food things - as far as anything else - that is what ETSY is for:) Love the pumpkin cheesecake - I may be stealing for my Thanksgiving Day Feast:) Happy Monday girl.
ReplyDeleteThat cheese ball is AMAZING! I say you can call yourself crafty after those two pumpkin creations- wow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! Girlfriend, you are too creative! I love that. I need to get crafty with foods...instead of just art projects haha :) Happy Monday to you!
ReplyDeleteThat cheeseball looks amazing. I will make it and eat it...and maybe share it.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever need a crafty wreath shoot me an email and I can show you a super easy one...or I can make it and just mail it to you :)
I'll be making that cheese ball for our Harvest Festival we have at my work! The staff will love me. Maybe it'll get that ol' bitch of a boss off my back. Yahoo!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Girlie!
Love the pumpkin cheeseball- what a good idea! I make a cheese ball for our Friendgiving every year. Thanks for a new idea!
ReplyDeleteThe craftiest I've ever been for Halloween was last year when I made a Pinterest recipe (and "recipe" is a TOTAL stretch) where you put a can of sweetened condensed milk (literally - the whole unopened can) in the crock pot submerged in water for 6-8 hours "cooking" on low and you pop it open and it's suddenly caramel. I only go on Pinterest if I feel like I'm needing a stamp on my humility card (which isn't very often because, HELLO, I have kids who have no problem reminding me everyday how much I'm...lacking). ;)
ReplyDeleteSo anyway, good job, Mama! :)
Nice. Those are super cute...I'll have to do the rice krispie one w/ sophia. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove those rice krispie pumpkins! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteLike everyone has said I am going to make that pumpkin cheese ball stat! Yummy for my tummy!
