I am linking up with Shannon from Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So What that my kid looked like Joe Dirt for the last three months. Glave-man got a hair cut at school yesterday and looks just like his Dad... and Zoolander.
So What I signed up for a 10k next weekend for Darci's 30th birthday...and I've never ran that far before. My goal was to take an hour lunch yesterday and knock it out. I made it around three miles. In my lazy ass defense, I didn't have ear phones and I couldn't read the closed captions on the television. All I could think about was eating my lunch and checking my phone.
SoWhat if I am the only blog mom without a pair of boots. I'm going to try to find a pair this weekend that can handle my canks and calves.
So What that I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled just because it will help me lose a few pounds. That and I am tired of having the mouth of an English villager.
So What that I grabbed my extra set of keys on my way to work and was locked out when I got home with both kids. It was total Awkward Town when I had to ask our neighbor across the street if she still had our extra key.... and she didn't. :) I waited in her living room with Olive while Haven destroyed her house, waiting for her husband to get home to see if it was in his car. He forgot his cell phone at home so she couldn't call him. A spilled cup, dirty diaper, four toddler fights, and an hour later... her husband showed up... and he had the key. Thank....GAWD.

Haven is so dang cute with his haircut! Good luck on your 10k, and I highly recommend getting knocked out for your wisdom teeth surgery (if you are a wuss like me) :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have boots either. Rock that 10k babydoll!
ReplyDeleteUGH the calves vs. boot battle. My calves are 15 1/2' of muscle...so there's no freaking mushing them into most boots. JCP actually had a few pairs that fit, steve madden's are wider, and of course Frye boots come in a shaft circumference of 16 and stretch! The frye's were the most expensive but my favorite!!
ReplyDelete& I cannot believe how much Haven looks like Chris, maybe it's the duck face pose :)
OK so how cute is Zoolander, I mean Haven! Presh! And as far as boots go, I go cheap and go Target! Seriously I have a brown and black pair and both are so comfy. Suck it Frye!
ReplyDeleteOh lord Holly, what cutie that Haven is! His Blue Steel is spot on! Good luck on the boot hunt and the 10k!
ReplyDeleteThe kid is super cute!!! And dont stress the boots...I have way to many..it will become a addiction once you buy your first pair!
ReplyDeleteUgh that sucks! I lock myself out of the house all the time. Everyone has a spare key. And we definitely need to hide one. Can't imagine it with kids. Glad you only had to wait an hour! Hope you rewarded yourself with some wine! Haha
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the 10k! Thanks again for the shout out :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he with that haircut! Love it! And you'll totally rock that 10K girl!!
ReplyDeleteHaven's haircut looks so cute! He got it cut at school?!?! what!?!? no wonder you pay the big bucks! lol. That is too funny about your neighbors house. I can just picture it, and sympathize with you lol. 4 toddler fights...so funny.
ReplyDeleteMy calves are too big for most boots, and I have actually had luck with Nine West believe it or not. If you can find an outlet near you, even better! Most of their boots were 50% off last time I was in there a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteHaven is so cute!! You're not the only blog mom without boots. I would love a pair, but haven't even looked for a pair as I know I won't find any for the amount of money I'd want to spend on them. Having 2 car payments is NOT fun!
ReplyDeleteI love Haven's face in the picture. I have actually locked myself out of the house with two toddlers inside the house many times. Mother of the year here. I should have given my neighbor a key.
ReplyDeleteHaven is so cute - Zoolander face is great. Boots - yay!! Nordstrom's has some super cute ones - just an fyi... I have also thought about wiring my mouth shut to lose some lbs - doing a liquid thing. Keep me posted on wisdom teeth thing. I never got any - now I kind of want too. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie that kid is :) zoolander in the making! When I got my wisdom teeth pulled my right cheek swelled up so much that I got a black eye - granted my crazy mouth had an extra tooth in there, making it 5 - but still I really hope you have a smooth time :) and definitely get knocked out! Thanks for the shout out :) Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to do amazing with that 10k!!! Boots are hard for my to find too but I finally found some at DSW so look there!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you!!!
I'm rather nervous about the 10K too, but hey, if we have to walk it will be okay. Haven really is Chris' little mini me, you should start gelling up his hair.
ReplyDeleteI second Target for boots. That's where I found mine and I love them! They are also plenty big for my calves.
Target for boots. Just do it. And I better see some finger pictures of this 10 miles!!
ReplyDeleteWow he really does look like your hubby!!

Your not alone, I don't own a pair of boots either! **gasp**
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about the 10k... I want to do one but have never ran that far either. Also, how is the teeth whitening going?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Your little man DOES look like Zoolander! As well as the hubby! So precious. :) I have massive calves (I feel like). Sometimes I have trouble fitting them in skinnies and boots. If I can do it, you can too! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only blog mom without boots... well actually, I HAVE boots but they don't even come close to zipping around my fat calves! Sighh...
ReplyDeleteFear not, we are in the same boat! I have a half marathon in 45 days and have run - 3.95 miles since...my last half - in December.
ReplyDeleteWisdom teeth removal rocked. my world. Cuz I lost 5 pounds. Trust me, if you are a pansy like I am, let them knock you out - no one wants to be awake during that shit.
Best of luck on your 10K!
I love the haircut! Brady needs a haircut in the worst way, but I hate taking him.
ReplyDeleteYou will do great with the 10k.
And don't worry, I have no boots either. I my legs are too fat, and I am too cheap for wide calf boots.
He looks so adorable with that haircut! And you'll do great for the 10k. I never trained for mine either.
ReplyDeleteI just love you. The end.
ReplyDeleteNope, not the only one without boots (unless you're including Uggs, but I count those as house shoes)! Lady...your blog posts stress me out just reading how busy you are! LOL You're going to do great on the 10k...you're adrenaline will kick in! Have you ran a race before?
ReplyDeleteI need boots too for Mardi Gras because I can't have another epic fall like NYE!
ReplyDeleteWhen I had my wisdom teeth out this last summer I only lost like 3 pounds because although I couldn't eat solid food, Sonic chocolate shakes tasted like heaven!
