Super Bowl Goodness- Hot Corn Dip

What else could be more fun than counting your calories and staring at an unhealthy amount of delicious food?

Every year, for five years now, Chris and I have gone over to the Smith's for their Super Bowl party. Before pinterest was even around {but after Al Gore invented the Internet}, Amy has been a crafting a baking football machine. It's one of our favorite nights of the year.

If you don't know Amy, please check out her blog HERE. Honestly, she is my most genuine, sweet friend.... and her husband rivals Chris in wit.

So today, Amy is hosting a linkup asking people to share their favorite Super Bowl dishes.

Last year, I made this >> Hot Corn Dip. I was seriously wanting to take the plate of dip and hide in her basement closet alone. Real fat girl thoughts.

The only thing is that this recipe calls for a lot of ingredients, but I bought it all and had stuff for fajitas/tacos that week, so it was OK. Now go over to Amy's blog and linkup your favorite party dish.

What do you usually do for the Super Bowl? Is your team in it this year? Chris went to college with Tony Romo, so the Cowboys are our #1 team... and #1 disappointment. Plus, they just fired Sexy Rexy, so I am acting like they don't exist anymore.

  1. I love hot corn dip! I have no idea who is even playing this year. It's really about the commercials for me.

  2. We usually have the best carpet picnic comprised solely of finger foods. My kiddos have taken to calling Super Bowl Sunday "that day we eat all the food". Parenting = I'm doing it right.

I mean, it's football and food....two of my absolute favorite things in this world!

And no one knows who's in the SuperBowl yet, silly girl!! 2 more weeks of playoff games to go through!
But you heard it here first....my prediction for the Bowl.... Broncos vs. Packers (but I'm hoping it's the 49ers instead.)

  6. Beer Dip, wings, beer, are the typical party essentials here. We're rooting for our team and if they don't make it to the big game then we host a strike and don't even turn the game on.

  8. Thanks so much for helping with the link-up idea and for the shout out on your blog. :-) I didn't get to try this last year, but it sounds really good. Hopefully this year will be a little easier now that Jackson's older. :-)

  9. I haven't watched the Super Bowl in forever, but maybe it would be more fun if we had a get-together. The corn dip looks delicious, I'll have to make it some time.

  11. The party looks like so much fun!

The last time we did it big for the Superbowl was when the Saints were in the superbowl! We celebrated that in NOLA. I was fat that year so there was eating and drinking GALORE! IM pretty sure I had street vendor fried chicken at 3am. Oh the good times.

  16. I am drooling over that dip! The only dip I ever get to make is Buffalo Chicken Dip. I make it so much, that it makes me want to gag. I am more of a college football fan, but other than the Rams, my favorite team is the Packers. Go.Pack.Go.
