Today I am linking up with the baby makin' Shannon for So What! Wednesday.

1. So What! I started my cleanse on Sunday. On Monday I was feeling a little hangry, I put a little spaghetti in a bowl for Big Holly. Since I have the heat sensitivity of a three year old, I went to stick it in the freezer to cool off. As I was sticking it in the freezer, it was like God himself just swiped those carbs right outta my hand.
2. So What! I didn't have working mom guilt this year when it came time for Valentine's Day. I did the basic box and prepackaged Rice Krispie Treats. Making these boxes made me feel like a real mom. Do you ever have those moments? Holiday stuff and cleaning up a wet sheets. Mom. Boom. Clearly cutting a square into the top of a box is not my forte.
3. So What! I signed up for a 5 mile run with Mel and Kim this Sunday. I haven't ran this far since my 10k last month. This whole fake it til I make it thing isn't working out as expected.
{picture not needed-- just imagine a really sweaty pale person, doing a slow bounce.}
4. So What! I made deviled eggs yesterday for my work Fat Tuesday party. {That's not the careless part} I couldn't find the paprika so I sprinkled red cayenne pepper on them. Some people were coughing. I guess I should have left a note. Sorry 'bout that!

haha side note why is your freezer so empty??
ReplyDeleteI put my food in the freezer too to cool it down!
DeleteIf I had to guess.... She's working on her 40 bags and cleaning a bag out of her freezer???
DeleteI was wondering the same thing.
DeleteHA! I was thinking, "Man, she really is a minimalist! They don't even eat!" Holly, doesn't have time for that!
DeleteThe freezer trick is one I use with Cooper's food - he cannot stand anything the least bit warm so we are constantly putting his food in there to cool off.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll fake that 5 miler and make it with no problems, you're pretty awesome like that. Thanks for the giveaway mention, I want to promote these girls and their journey! Also, I completely forgot to send you the details, prego brain is getting me again! :)
Love the Valentine's box for Haven, super cute! I guess I'll stop procrastinating and fill out the Valentine's for Coop's party, since its tomorrow and all..... I forgot to buy his treats too, big mom fail going on here. Happy Hump Day!
Um, for your cleanse did you take ALL your food out of your freezer?! Was that part of the 40 bags thing?! :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Jesus I seriouslly laughed out loud, in a room, alone. The pepper for paprika was awesome. Hilarious. And I may do it for April Fools. I think I'm going to link up to this hot mess. ;)
ReplyDeleteGAH!!!!! Cayenne Pepper Deviled Eggs - oh yeah... Love it. Yeah I haven't ran either in a week - tonight I got to get back at it so I don't die on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI bought barbecue from my FAVORITE place a few weeks ago and as I was walking to the couch to sit down the plate JUMPED out of my hands. I may or may not have cleaned it up off the floor and ate it. Obviously I have no shame.
ReplyDeleteI have another marathon for you. It's the Gingerbread Run. It's in November. I'll totally donate to your donation page if you run in that one. You'll only need to make it down to Kissimmee Florida for the run. It starts at Give Kids The World Resort. That is where we stayed when we went on Joey's Wish Trip.
ReplyDeleteI suck at making Valentine's boxes. I am so glad this is the last year I will have to do that.
ReplyDelete#FAKEITTILIMAKEIT Good gawd girl you are going to leave me in the damn dust... ewwwwwwwffffffffffffffffffffffffff
ReplyDeleteYou did better than me on the Valentine's. I had all these plan to make some cute ones. Jacer last night at 8 was signing them and they are in ziplock baggie. Didn't even make a box and Monkey has none to give out (he is the only one at daycare tomorrow).
ReplyDeleteGET OUT on putting cayenne pepper on deviled eggs... bahahaha!!! And for the record, you kill me when you call yourself 'Big Holly'... far from it my friend!!
ReplyDeleteSo, cayenne pepper is not a natural substitute for Paprika? Haha, that sounds like something I would do. And I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to spill spaghetti all down the side of your freezer.
ReplyDeleteI love the 40 bags in 40 days idea, goodness knows I have got shit to get rid of. I'm not quite the packrat I used to be though, so at least it is saying something.
Yikes it is Valentine's day this week... Bad mom. Good job on your part!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out :)
Do you not keep anything in your freezer besides food you're trying to cool down? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love that you took a picture of it before you cleaned it up! Haha!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's refreshing to see people sign up for races that I have been contemplating doing, and then those bloggers saying they haven't ran that far in awhile... Bc I have never ran that far. It makes me feel like maybe I just can do it!! But maybe when I start running outside more :)
Well aren't you the blessed one to have divine intervention during your cleanse :) I kinda want to make some deviled eggs and bring them to work with cayenne just to see for myself how it pans out...muahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteI may or may not have been singing p!nk all damn day! ahhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteI put a touch of horseradish in my mixture for my deviled eggs. Try it, you dont taste the horseradish just a miracle in your mouth!
ReplyDeleteYour valentine boxes look great. Just wait once the kids start school they make them there and all you have to do is run around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to find a box to send at the last minute, oh no? Just me?
ReplyDeleteAnd where did all your food go? You must eat super healthy if there is nothing in your freezer. =)
I love that you put cayenne pepper on your eggs instead of paprika! That makes me chuckle! One time I made this dish that called for cayenne pepper. I had no clue what that was, so I just used regular pepper instead. That was like 8 years ago, and Todd still hasn't let me live that down.
ReplyDelete"people were coughing" - I seriously just spit out my crystal light all over my desk! You are too funny - reminds me of the time my dad had me make him some popcorn and I couldn't find the salt so I just put garlic powder on it ... He wasn't impressed =)
ReplyDeleteThose Valentine's boxes look fancy!!!!! Nice work. I am pleased that my kid's school has them make them right in class. I don't even think we have a shoe box??
ReplyDeleteStopping by from So What Wednesday!!
Ramblings of a Suburban Mom
Girl, where's all the food from your freezer?
ReplyDeleteActully, I'm kinda jealous. My freezer is filled with frozen over processed food, like frozen pizzas, SmartOne meals and Hot Pockets. I need to clean all that crap out and have mine look a little more like yours.
Cayenne pepper, that's hilarious. I would have loved it though but I bet people were frwaking out haha!
ReplyDeleteUm in my book you're one of those awesome moms, because I'm sending my kid to school with boxed fruit rolls, I told him not to worry about names just hand them out, and a neon yellow grocery outlet bag to collect his Valentine's Cards. You're winning. LOL
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you seriously gutted your freezer in preps of this 40 bags in 40 days ordeal LOL.
Oh God does work in mysterious ways, doesn't he :)!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your cleanse!
I'll be the one to say that I didn't even notice your empty fridge- true carb lover right here- I saw the wonderful goodness on the floor and my heart immediately went out to you :)
ReplyDeleteThe cayenne pepper just made me laugh out loud... And if I woke up the baby because of that, I'm gonna be pissed!! That's so funny! Happy Fat Tuesday suckas!
ReplyDeleteI have to hold in my laughs just about every time I read your posts so I don't wake up Zach. #4 is freakin' hilarious! :()
