Olive Betty has has a growth spurt. I have been buying 24 month clothing and now we've moved up to 2T. When I pick her up from school, her teachers always tell me that she is the best eater in the class. They give us what they call a "Daily," where you can see what time she went to the bathroom, what she ate, and how much. Yesterday, she ate a whole cheeseburger. Baby Huey didn't want the pineapple though.
We go back next month to check the progress on her eyes. We are still so happy with the results. She has been looking at us straight on and the nystagmus is not as noticeable when she isn't sleepy.
We got a few inches of snow over the weekend. We spent 40 minutes getting the kids dressed, only to go out for 5 minutes and take some pictures.
Haven is my buddy right now. He is going through the phase where he wants to wear/do whatever I am doing. This started with him wanting his toe nails painted. He walked around barefoot so proud that our toes matched. Last night he came in the kitchen to show Chris and I that he knows how to put on makeup. I mistakenly left my gym bag on the bed.
Captain America got some mascara too.

ReplyDeleteMy dad totally used to say bonzos all the time. I loved your reference!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Olive's eyes are doing better.
ReplyDeleteAnd it all starts with painting the toes, and then you'll agree to fingernails as long as the colors are dark and boy colors and then you'll let neon green get through and before you know it all colors of fingernail polish is acceptable on all nails and he'll be wearing nail polish to school almost daily. And with the make up...that too. Joey begs me to put make up on him almost daily.
I can't decide if it's okay to paint his nails and put make up on him.........or if it's going to harm him?
Either way the boy has the most confidence of any kid I've ever seen...that's a good thing, right?
Hahah I saw these photos on Instagram - but the one of Haven and your makeup still made me laugh today! And little Olive is just adorable playing around in the snow.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to read that Olive's surgery results are still good! Totally worth a pudding parfait at the hospital, right?
ReplyDelete(I don't actually know if you got pudding parfaits while there, but my handful of hospital visits included cafeteria stops with pudding parfaits, so I figure, why would anyone NOT?)
Your kids are so cute and I am so happy that Olive's eyes are still wonderful :) I love the Haven was putting on your makeup, I mistakenly left my lipstick out today and still cant find where Amelia left it grr! :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of snow! I just love Haven and Olive they are so dang cute! I LOL'd at Havens proud makeup face! That is too cute.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Olive, 24 month clothes?! I'm so glad her eyes are improving. And it cracks me up Haven is your lil' shadow. Love it.
ReplyDeleteMy nephew used to do the same thing with me. Everyday when I would get ready for work he would sit in the counter next to me and do his makeup. The best part was the face he made like he was concentrating so hard on getting it right. He even would try to dip his fingers in the contact solution and put his contacts in. Ohhh how I miss those days!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'be been reading your blog for about the last 5 months or so and you kiddos are just precious! And I'm jealous that Olive got to eat a whole cheeseburger and gets praise! Oh to be a small child again!
ReplyDeleteBottom left picture of Miss Olive Betty is the best! You might need to win a blog award for the cutest kids!
