Tis is true.
And then I think of Jolly and think of the Jolly Green Giant.
Another fact? One of my top five favorite foods... Green Giant Green beans. Preferably sliced french-style and covered in cream of mushroom soup.
Anyway, I was contacted by Green Giant to talk about diet cheats. Now, you all know that I am carb-a-saurus. And never the good carbs. Only the refined and processed stuff, please. But my biggest downfall to my diet is really eating whatever my husband eats. I am sure a lot of you can agree with me. Men have it made in the shade, with a cocktail and a bowl of queso, while they are probably burning calories.
I am the opposite. I am also tired of counting my calories and not having a lot of food to show for it.
So tomorrow when I get back into town, I am meal prepping. I won't eat what he eats. I am going to be smarter about what I put in my mouth. I want to eat more while eating less.
This is something that we can do together. Over the next four weeks, I will be sharing my progress with you. I will avoid my big diet cheat... a la a... eating out with Mr. Stanfield. I am going out and buying some frozen Green Giant vegetables that my husband will not use to nurse his vasectomy, but for us to enjoy at dinner. I really want to start eating healthier in front of the kids and the frozen veggies with cheese sauce rock our world.
In the meantime, Dr. V from Bravo! (eeeekkkk!!) will be along for my journey, providing advice and her normal sass and honest humor. I am really, really excited about this. With the holidays approaching, I want to get my weight back under control and have the energy to keep up with my cracked out kids high on holiday sugar.
What is YOUR diet cheat? What are your favorite meals for food prepping?
